Tottenham are on the verge of strengthening their forward line with the addition of Omar Marmoush, having come to terms with Manchester City for the Egyptian striker.
Marmoush is scheduled to undergo a medical before finalizing his switch to Spurs, with the structure of the deal an initial loan that includes a mandatory purchase clause. The financial package comprises a base fee of £50 million, £5 million in assured add-ons, and a further £5 million tied to performance-related incentives.
The 27-year-old is slated to put pen to paper on a four-year contract with Tottenham, which also contains an option to extend his stay by an additional season.
This development arrives as Tottenham’s transfer outlay for the current summer window has already surpassed the £300m threshold.
Marmoush closes in on Tottenham switch
The agreement for Marmoush is a distinct transaction from the £85m deal that brought his former Manchester City teammate Savio to the club, with the Brazilian completing his move on Tuesday.
Savio is in contention to feature for Tottenham in their Carabao Cup second-round clash against Charlton, whereas Marmoush must first pass his medical examination before his transfer can be officially completed.
Contrary to circulating rumors, the arrangement does not include a sell-on clause that would benefit Marmoush’s prior club, Eintracht Frankfurt.
Last season, Marmoush managed only eight starts in the Premier League, finding regular minutes hard to come by. Over his 36 appearances in all competitions, he found the net eight times.
Tottenham bolster attacking ranks
The Egyptian arrives in north London with the ambition of cementing himself as Roberto De Zerbi’s primary striker. He will face competition from Richarlison and Dominic Solanke for the leading role.
Marmoush made his move to Manchester City in January 2025, yet he could not sustain the promising beginning to his Premier League tenure and eventually fell down the squad hierarchy.
His transfer to Tottenham now offers him a fresh chance to reignite his career, with Spurs eager to integrate him as a key component of their offensive setup.
This agreement also signals Tottenham’s continued squad overhaul under De Zerbi, who has prioritized acquiring players with prior Premier League experience.

Marmoush’s impending arrival is part of a hectic summer for Tottenham, with their total spending now exceeding the £300m milestone.
Savio, Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes, and Jan Paul van Hecke have all been brought in during this window, with the winger’s £85m transfer being a separate matter from the one that is set to bring Marmoush to the capital.
Additionally, Tottenham have bolstered their squad with free-agent signings, securing the services of Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi, and Martin Dubravka.
