Harry Kane has now scored 100 Bundesliga goals for Bayern Munich, adding yet another landmark moment to his three-year stay in Germany.
The England striker went into Bayern’s Friday night clash with Union Berlin needing just one goal to bring up his century. The wait was short, as he converted a familiar penalty in the 39th minute to reach the milestone.
Harry Kane reaches 100 Bundesliga goals
With that penalty, Kane wrote his name into the Bundesliga record books and became the quickest player ever to score 100 goals in the league. He needed only 98 appearances for Bayern Munich to get there.
The old record had belonged to Dieter Müller for close to half a century. Müller brought up his 100th Bundesliga goal in 129 games for Köln in 1977, so Kane has surpassed him while playing 30 fewer matches.
This latest feat adds another major scoring record to Kane’s career. Before joining the Allianz Arena side, he had already cemented himself as the Premier League’s all-time top scorer.
Bayern Munich star breaks Dieter Müller record
Kane’s 98th Bundesliga outing was enough to take the record from Müller, who had held the title of fastest player to 100 goals since 1977.
The milestone arrived in Kane’s third season in Germany and under Vincent Kompany at Bayern Munich. His first-half penalty gave the England international the standout moment of the match.
After his record-breaking strike, Kane followed up with another goal in the second half, continuing his scoring impact against Union Berlin.

Having reached 100 Bundesliga goals from the spot, Kane added a second goal after the break. He headed in clinically from Michael Olise’s floated cross.
That second goal maintained Bayern’s pressure on the visitors and deepened Union Berlin’s troubles. Kane therefore celebrated his historic Bundesliga milestone with a brace in the match.
His latest accomplishment has also raised the question of whether Kane might now enter the conversation for another major individual prize, with the Ballon d’Or mentioned as a possible next target.
