Gabriel Martinelli has officially sealed a transfer to Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Hilal, closing the door on his lengthy tenure with Arsenal.
The Brazilian winger first joined the Gunners from Ituano back in July 2019 and now departs after clocking up 278 competitive matches for the club. During that period, he registered 62 goals while wearing the red and white shirt.
Martinelli’s move to Al-Hilal is finalized
Al-Hilal have agreed to pay roughly £60m to acquire Martinelli, officially ending his chapter at the Emirates Stadium at 25 years old.
Martinelli was a key contributor during Arsenal’s most recent Premier League title run, and he also played his part in earlier successes such as the FA Cup victory in 2020 and the Community Shield win in 2023.
His exit concludes a seven-year relationship where he grew into a core member of the senior squad and became an influential presence at the club.
Seven-year Arsenal chapter reaches its conclusion
Martinelli arrived at Arsenal from Ituano in July 2019 and subsequently featured in 278 matches across every competition.
Over that stretch, the attacker scored 62 times. His trophy cabinet with Arsenal includes the FA Cup from 2020 and the Community Shield from 2023, among other honors.
His last season in London saw Arsenal claim the Premier League crown, with Martinelli taking on a vital role throughout that triumphant campaign.
Brazil star departs the Emirates
During his Arsenal years, Martinelli also established himself on the international scene, earning 27 caps for Brazil.
He featured for his nation in two World Cups and at the 2024 Copa America, in addition to being selected for Brazil’s squad at the Tokyo Olympics in 2020.
He returned from that Olympic tournament with a gold medal, adding international glory to the domestic trophies he lifted while at Arsenal.

Once the deal was confirmed, Arsenal issued a statement recognizing Martinelli’s efforts and expressing gratitude for his service.
