Former Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy will depart Cremonese at the end of his contract this summer after a single season with the Italian club.
The 39-year-old featured 29 times during the campaign, contributing seven goals along with three assists. Despite his efforts in attack, Cremonese were unable to avoid relegation by the end of the season.
Premier League return still possible
It is believed Vardy remains motivated to continue his playing career and still feels capable of competing at a high level. The experienced striker is reportedly open to opportunities that could include a return to the Premier League.
Dutch club Feyenoord are among the sides said to be interested in signing the former England international during the summer transfer window.
Leicester’s career remains legendary
Vardy established himself as one of Leicester’s most iconic figures during his time with the club, scoring 200 goals across 500 appearances in all competitions.
His achievements included helping Leicester secure a historic Premier League title as well as lifting the FA Cup, cementing his place among the greatest players in the club’s history.
England highlights and major tournaments
At the international level, Vardy scored seven times in 26 matches for the England national football team.
He was also included in England’s squads for both UEFA Euro 2016 and the 2018 FIFA World Cup during his international career.
