Savinho has moved to the top of Tottenham’s transfer wishlist, with Roberto de Zerbi eager to add the Brazilian wide player to his squad in north London. Manchester City are fully informed of Spurs’ interest.
The winger is believed to be willing to depart City this summer, and the groundwork for a possible transfer is now moving forward as both clubs evaluate their positions.
Savinho’s path at Manchester City
Savinho joined Manchester City from sister club Troyes in July 2024 for a fee of £30.8 million, following a loan spell at Girona in Spain the previous season.
Although Tottenham held discussions about signing him last summer, City refused to sell. Instead, the club rewarded the Brazilian with a two-year contract extension in October, keeping him at the Etihad until 2031.
Fierce competition limits Savinho’s game time
Savinho featured regularly in his first season under Pep Guardiola, making 48 appearances across all competitions and scoring three goals.
However, his minutes dwindled during Guardiola’s final campaign in charge, as he played only 36 matches. Competition for places grew stiffer with the arrivals of Rayan Cherki from Lyon last summer and January signing Antoine Semenyo, who also operates on the right flank.
