Chelsea have officially secured the services of Spanish defender Pep Chavarria, as the 28-year-old signs a long-term deal that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2030.
Chavarria makes the switch to Stamford Bridge following a productive period with Rayo Vallecano, with the agreed fee believed to be in the region of £16.3 million.

Chavarria leaves Rayo after 44-game campaign
Before joining Chelsea, Chavarria had been a regular feature at Rayo Vallecano for three and a half seasons.
In his most recent campaign, he made 44 appearances in all competitions, registering one goal and three assists in the process.
His time with the Spanish side concluded with those numbers before the reported £16.3 million switch to Chelsea was finalized.
