AC Milan are tracking another Juventus free agent

AC Milan are monitoring more than one potential no-cost acquisition from Juventus, with new reports suggesting their interest extends beyond Dusan Vlahovic.

After Kenan Yildiz committed his future to the Turin club with a new deal running until 2030, Il Giornale (as cited by MilanNews) claims Juventus have shifted focus to other squad members whose contracts are nearing their conclusion. One of the most notable names in that category is Weston McKennie.

Juventus respond to rising interest

Juventus executives are said to be actively engaged in talks aimed at tying down the United States international, as several clubs are positioning themselves to approach him once his current agreement runs out.

According to the report, Milan are among a group of sides keeping close tabs on the situation, alongside Marseille, Inter and Roma. All are reportedly attentive to the possibility of securing the midfielder without a transfer fee.

Allegri factor and international ambitions

Massimiliano Allegri is believed to be supportive of retaining McKennie, particularly given their previous working relationship. A potential reunion appears attractive as the player prepares for a World Cup on home soil next summer, where he is expected to remain a central figure for the U.S. national team.

The 27-year-old has enjoyed a strong campaign, especially following the arrival of Luciano Spalletti. Across 32 matches in all competitions, he has directly contributed to ten goals, scoring six times and supplying four assists.

Tactical flexibility boosts his value

Beyond the numbers, McKennie’s adaptability has stood out this season. He has been deployed in several roles, including central midfield, a wide position on the right, and more recently in an advanced supporting role up front.

That versatility aligns closely with Allegri’s tactical preferences, as the Juventus coach has consistently shown appreciation for players capable of fulfilling multiple duties within a single system.
