Prediction league rules

In the Subscored.com football pool, you predict the results of football matches.

Match Scoring System

When predicting a result, you can earn points. You receive points when you predict the exact score or get it partially correct. In the table below, you can see how many points you get for each correct prediction.

The following points scheme is applied:

  • 64 points – Final
  • 32 points – Semifinal
  • 16 points – Quarterfinal
  • 8 points – 1/8
  • 4 points – 1/16
  • 2 points – 1/32

League Rules & Standings

  • Regulation Time Only: You must predict the score of 90 minutes (+ additional time). Extra time does not count. For example, if a World Cup match ends 2-2, then finishes 4-2 during extra time, the result counted for the prediction pool is 2-2.
  • Ranking: After each match, your points are calculated and the overall leaderboard is updated.
  • Private Leagues: If you are participating in a privately organized friends’ league, you can check your position within that league via the “Pools/Leagues” section.
  • Deadline: You can enter or edit a prediction up until the match starts.
  • Total Score: Your total score is the sum of your match points and (if applicable) any bonus questions.
  • Joker match: You can select one joker match by the star highlight. Points will be doubled for the Joker match result.
  • Technical Issues: Due to technical circumstances, it is possible that your predictions were not saved. We advise you to always check if your predictions have been saved correctly.

Exceptions:

  • If a match is abandoned and not replayed, no points will be awarded for that match.
  • If a match result is later changed to a regulatory score (e.g., by a disciplinary committee), the original result (the one that was played on the field) remains valid for the prediction league.

Good luck with your predictions on Subscored.com!
