The Montreal Canadiens forward stated that his personal journey with the organization has made it hard for him to imagine playing for any other club.
The 25-year-old American is well aware that Brady Tkachuk, Quinn Hughes, and Connor Hellebuyck have requested trades away from their respective Canadian teams. Nevertheless, Caufield maintains that those circumstances do not mirror his own feelings toward Montreal, a city where he has developed into a key component of the Canadiens’ rising core.

Caufield views Montreal as an optimal destination for anyone who truly loves hockey and possesses a deep passion for the game. He noted that the city teaches players to accept both the tough stretches and the better days that may come afterward.
