Paris St-Germain remain without a victory in the current Ligue 1 season after letting a one-goal lead slip in a 2-1 home loss to Monaco at Parc des Princes.
The reigning European champions have now collected just two points from their opening three league matches. Monaco overturned the deficit in the second half with goals from Flavio Nazinho and Stanis Idumbo to secure a memorable win in the capital.
Luis Enrique’s men looked comfortable after skipper Marquinhos headed them in front midway through the first half, but the visitors raised their level after the interval and flipped the contest on its head.
PSG edge ahead against Monaco
Marquinhos broke the deadlock in the 31st minute, converting from close range to put the hosts on track.
The Parisians could not extend their advantage before the break despite dominating possession. Monaco failed to test the goalkeeper with a single shot on target in the opening period.
PSG headed into the changing rooms with a slender lead, yet that cushion evaporated quickly after the restart.
This outcome stood out because PSG had not lost a match after leading at halftime since March 2021, when Nantes defeated them.
Monaco fight back to stun PSG
Monaco leveled the score in the 58th minute as Flavio Nazinho met Jordan Teze’s delivery at the far post.
The away side kept pushing and took the lead just 14 minutes later. Stanis Idumbo beat PSG goalkeeper Matvey Safonov from a tight angle to complete the comeback.
PSG had no answer and ended up losing a match in which they had led at the break for the first time in over four years.
The result handed Monaco another three points and preserved their flawless record in the domestic campaign.

Monaco climbed to the summit of the Ligue 1 table with the 2-1 triumph, keeping their perfect start alive.
PSG slipped to 12th place as they continue to search for their first league win of the season.
